CannyBrain beta – An Aptitude Preparation Portal
Today we review an aptitude preparation portal ‘CannyBrain’.
The website has various sections that you can test your knowledge in such as C/C++, Java, Operating system, Database management system and even verbal comprehension! What I liked best about this was the fact that it not only gave me the correct answer but also explained why and in more mathematical questions, gave the entire working to get the right answer.
The verbal section was quite fun to do for language junkies or the people who wants to test their skills but I wished that they had a more varied questionnaire. All questions are arranged topic-wise and can be practiced through before one decides to test himself/herself.
The website allows the unregistered users to take a practice test (only one practice test though…if you hit the option again, you get the same test) but if you are a registered member, the scope seems to be endless as you can set for yourself tests comprising of different sections and even choose between ‘Switchable’ and ‘Non-Switchable’ modes so as to get a more formal feeling. Again the best part of these tests is that once you are done with them, you get a comprehensive result which not only tells you your score but also explains where you went wrong. If you take multiple tests, the website creates graphs and pie-charts of your performance over the lot of them and gives you an idea of your overall improvement over time.
The interface of the website is pretty functional as of now but I guess it’s still in the beta stage so that will hopefully be worked upon soon.
All in all, a great help to anyone preparing for placements or even college exams!
